If you do your homework and read about the different vendors’ motherboards in tech sites, you will see no other b450 motherboard (besides MSIs own Mortar, Bazooka, and Carbon Pro) with the quality VRMs to support the new AMD CPUs.

It works with Ryzen 5 out of the box without a bios update; however, I recommend updating anyway. Very pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good-looking board with all of the necessary features.

ASRock B450M PRO4

The ASRock B450M Pro4 Micro ATX motherboard comes with all the essentials. Ports are on the back, and a PS/2 port for those with old peripherals. This motherboard blows my mind for its price and size. It offers so much. This is a MicroATX board but has way more expandability than I would have expected. It has 2 M.2 SSD slots (one of which is for NVME), 4 RAM slots (up to 64GB), and 2 PCI-E slots. The back IO also has many connections, including micro-USB, 5 USB 3.0, 2 USB 2.0, HDMI, VGA, and DVI. It is incredibly versatile!
